Week Beginning 16.1.17

 

Dear Parents/Carers,

 

It’s lovely to have Year 2 back at school; the children have settled in well and are making a great start to the new term.

In maths next week the children will continue to learn about fractions and will focus on finding fractions of numbers e.g. ½ of 6, ¼ of 20.

During literacy lessons the children will be rewriting the story of The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers.

 

We have had quite a few incidents with children falling out or becoming upset over pokemon cards and other things brought in from home.  We ask that these and other toys are not brought into school please.

 

Just a reminder that we would be very grateful for any resources the children could use to make their space rockets…

 

• Cylindrical shaped tubes
• Plastic bottles
• Bottle tops
• Small foil cake cases
• yogurt drink bottles

or anything else shiny and ‘space like’.

 

Wet Playtimes

Please ensure that your child has a colouring book that they can keep in their tray and use during wet play.

 

For Mrs Ash’s class – Please note that PE days have now changed to Thursday and Friday and library to Wednesday.
