Dear Parents/Carers,

Next week the children will be having a very busy week!

Class Transition
The children will be having their second transition session with their new class teacher and in their new classroom during the morning of Friday 7th July. This will be another opportunity to familiarise the children with their new Year 3 setting.

Sponsored Swim
We were very proud of the effort the Year 2 children put in during their Sponsored swims this week. If there any Sponsored Swim forms or money to come back please could they be returned to the school office or your child’s class teacher as soon as possible. Thank you.

Sports Day
Fingers crossed for Sports Day next week which has been rearranged for Thursday 6th July at 1.30.
The children can come to school in PE kit but please can they wear a t shirt or shorts in their class colour (Mrs Ash – white, Mrs Ashworth – blue , Mrs Page – yellow) . They must also have a hat. Please feel free to come along and watch your child take part.

Maths
The children will be spending the next few weeks learning about weight and length in their maths lessons, as well as some revision of other topics which have been taught throughout their time in Year 2.

Pirate Day
Our ‘Pirate Day’ will be taking place on Tuesday 11th July. The children will be taking part in lots of pirate themed activities and are asked to come dressed in pirate clothes on this day.
